This story is a family friendly, character driven adventure that follows young Sam Mason on a life defining journey to save her brother, Tim.  Along the way, she meets a extraordinary Alien that might be able to save her brother if only they can reach him in time.  But Sam is not the only one who has discovered the Alien.  Dr. Henry Fielding is in pursuit as well.  He has motivations of his own and will stop at nothing to exact his revenge on the Alien.
